Southend Music Festival ~ Friday 23rd November

This morning the 38 children in our Year 5 and 6 choir competed against three other schools in their group, and with six choirs overall in the 11 years and under category.  They sang two pieces ~ ‘The Innkeeper’s Song’ and ‘This Train Goes Marching On’, and did so beautifully.  Fortunately I arrived just in time to hear that they had not only been awarded with the GOLD certificate for their section but also a certificate for the highest mark overall!  Along with these two very special certificates they were presented with the Chas Waller Shield. It is enormous and is decorated with the names of winners dating back to 1922!

What a proud moment for all of the children and
indeed for the whole school community

WELL DONE TO YOU ALL.

A very special WELL DONE and THANK YOU
to Mrs Lewins for all her hard work and enthusiasm.

She has been awarded a very special ‘Mr Parascandolo is very proud of me’ gold sticker!
