OLOR at the O2!

Well done to our ‘Young Voices’ in Year 4 for performing at the O2 on Tuesday evening in front of 15,000 screaming parents!  The children behaved impeccably from the moment they set off at midday until they wearily trudged off the coach nearly 12 hours later.  They sang alongside Connie Talbot and the African Children’s Choir, boogied on down and waved their torches with the other 5000+ children.  We all had a brilliant, ‘once in a lifetime’ experience, and are so glad that we did it!

“For me this experience was spellbinding!  My favourite song was ‘All For The Best’….
Overall I would give the experience 10 out of 10 because it was such fun,
so loud and the professional singers were really good”  (Oliver)

“The O2 was tremendous”  (Beth)

“It was a fascinating experience”  (Max)

It was amazing when it was pitch black with just the torches shining!”

May I say a very big THANK YOU to the staff members who spent many, many hours organising this trip.  It was planned with military precision and everything worked brilliantly with all children (and parents) getting to and from the O2 safely.    WELL DONE to Mrs. Lewins, Mrs. Hitchins and Mrs. Spooner!  THANK YOU also to Mrs. Curnock, Mrs. Gibbons and Mrs. Purkis for looking after the children throughout the visit ~ you are all superstars (and not bad dancers either!)
