Year 5 Victorian Day
A report by William (5D): On Monday, we had a Victorian Day. Sir was quite scary if we didn’t sit quietly but some of us found it quite funny. We had to write with quill pens which made our hands very inky and we used slate boards too. Sir could be tricky when we answered his questions, so we were careful to pay attention and make sure we knew the right answers. We learnt about the Kings and Queens after the Battle of Hastings and we were taught lots of different subjects.
I enjoyed the toy making. We made cork boats, peg dolls and illusionary toys too. It was a very full day and we had a ghost story at the end which was extremely frightening!
